DEMENTIA CARE
This half day workshop offers participants the opportunity to experience dementia, using practical interactions, to have a better understanding of what it means to care for people living with dementia.
An overall understanding of origin and cause of dementia and sub-categories (e.g., Alzheimer’s, Lewy-Body, vascular dementia) are part of the theory component of the workshop.
Behaviours of concern, early warning signs and multiple ways on how to interact with dementia patients and their family members are also covered.
