Curathena was founded in 2023 by two professional trainers in the Perth health care sector.
Having worked for several Registered Training Organisations over the years, Andreas and Roger identified the differences in level and quality of training that were on offer.
Their purpose in creating Curathena was to provide the best training possible with real industry knowledge and different learning opportunities to make training a more memorable experience.
Their mission is to deliver training content that is relatable, interactive and fun, ensuring the ultimate educational experience.
Up-to-date knowledge through current and valid work experiences gives Curathena the edge when compared to other training companies.
As clinical skilled specialists, Curathena specialises in a wide variety of non-accredited training courses that can help you and your company to be one step ahead of your competitors.
CURIOUS ABOUT OUR NAME?
CURA comes from the Latin for care/help. It is found in words such as curious, accurate, curable, cure, curative, secure.
ATHENA comes from the ancient Greek goddess of wisdom/ knowledge.
“We’ve both been in the training industry for 4-6 years and have worked with many trainers. One too many lacklustre training session became the primary motivation for creating Curathena. Our mission being to offer high quality, interactive training that by fully engaging participants fosters learning and retention.”
MEET OUR Fearless Leaders
ROGER
Curathena Founder & TRAINER
With over 20 years nursing experience in aged care, disabilities and hospitals, including experience as a Client Service Coordinator (2IC), ACFI coordinator in aged care, a Case Manager in disabilities, and a Training Consultant in RTOs, Roger has extensive and relevant experience to refer to.
For the past 5 years he has been a Clinical Trainer and Assessor at 2 RTOs – training clinical programs for the RTOs and for many corporate clients in the aged care and disabilities sectors.
Roger is a passionate and professional trainer who aims to provide an excellent standard of training. Like Andreas, he makes training an interactive and interesting experience, always tailored to the needs of the clients.
Andreas
Curathena Founder & TRAINER
With over 20 years of nursing experience in various settings, Andreas is currently working as a registered nurse in older adult mental health.
He brings clinical knowledge and first-hand experience into the education sessions.
Having previously worked in educational content development for an aged care provider, Andreas knows the importance of engaging materials that will appeal to different learner types.
Andreas has had a passion for acting since high school, performing many lead roles on stage and appearing in several TV commercials and films. He utilises these acting skills to transform class rooms into a safe and engaging learning platform.
